What helps catalyse Weltschmerz to action?
- courses of action that have a low economic barrier to entry.
- unlearning pre-existing patterns of the old world.
- courses of action which actually address roots of the metacrisis, vs management of its symptoms.
- courses of action that give agency to the individual, vs the political delegation of actions towards the top.
I feel like it’s a large step to jump to the next question, but I can fill in this gap later.
Why does participating / founding eco-communities help catalyse Weltschmerz to action?
- They enable low-to-no cost life and offer the potential for a world beyond privatised land ownership
- low-cost living attracts people who - given the conditions for appropriate healing - can unlearn their old habits and learn to provide for the local community
- living in proximity to others
